What is an ounce of pistachios?
Pistachio, like gold, has its own ounce. An ounce of pistachio is a numerical measure, which determines how small or large the pistachio is.
To calculate the ounce of pistachio, put 142 grams of weight in one bowl of scales and in the other bowl, pistachios are placed to balance the scales.
The measured 142 grams of pistachios are then divided into 5 groups (5 batches of pistachio seeds each). Then the number of batches of 5 is counted.
The number obtained indicates the ounce of pistachios. For example, if the number of batches is 25, it means that pistachios are in the range of 24-26.
Types of pistachio ounces:
- Akbari pistachio ounce starts from 20.
- Pistachio anise starts from 20.
- Hazelnut pistachio ounce starts from 28
- Pistachio Anas Ahmad Aghaei starts from 24.
